Description
1983 Fleer Vida Blue baseball card, number 487. The card features a classic border design with a rounded-corner picture box showing Blue in his light blue Kansas City Royals jersey and blue cap. The Fleer logo is in the top left corner, and the Royals circular team logo appears in the bottom left. The player's name and position 'Vida Blue PITCHER' are printed in black at the bottom right.
Key Features
Features the 3-time All-Star, 1971 AL MVP, and Cy Young Award winner during his tenure with the Kansas City Royals. Classic early 1980s Fleer vintage design.
Authenticity Indicators
High confidence. Card stock, printing resolution, colors, and font styles are consistent with original 1983 Fleer production. This card is rarely targeted by counterfeiters due to its low market value.
Flaws to Note
Slight top-to-bottom centering bias with a thicker border at the bottom. Minor corner softening consistent with vintage cards from this era. Surface appears clean with standard gloss for the period.
Selling Guide
Where to Sell
COMC, eBay (best sold as part of a lot or set to offset shipping costs), or local card shop dollar bins.
Selling Tips
Not economically viable to grade due to grading fees exceeding the final value. Best sold raw as a single if combined with other cards, or as part of a complete 1983 Fleer set. Ship securely in a penny sleeve and top loader using standard eBay Standard Envelope pricing.
