Description
This is the reverse side of a 1977 Topps Mike Boryla #183 football card. Boryla played quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles and was an NFC Pro Bowler in 1976. The back features a pink and black color scheme on gray cardboard stock, detailing his passing record from 1974-1976 and a 'College Corner' highlight from his time at Stanford University. The copyright at the bottom confirms 1977 Topps Chewing Gum, Inc.
Key Features
Includes Pro Bowl highlight on the reverse; popular late-70s Topps design; features early Eagles career statistics and Stanford University collegiate history.
Authenticity Indicators
Confidence: High. The card stock shows the correct thickness and texture for 1970s Topps issues. The ink saturation and 'dot matrix' printing style on the red sections match authentic production from the era. Not a common target for counterfeiting due to low market value.
Flaws to Note
Slight top-to-bottom centering issues; minor surface discoloration/browning consistent with aging of the gray card stock; very slight corner softning on the bottom left and top right; minor print snow/defects in the red text area.
Selling Guide
Where to Sell
eBay (as a Low-Value shipping option), COMC (Check Out My Cards) for set-builders, or Sportlots. It is best sold as part of a lot of 1970s Eagles cards or a complete 1977 Topps set.
Selling Tips
Due to the low value of the raw card, it is not recommended to grade this unless you are chasing a registry set. Use the eBay Standard Envelope for $0.63 to keep shipping costs low for the buyer. High-resolution scans help buyers identify the sharp corners and centering they need for set building.
