Description
This 1987 Fleer baseball card features a Super Star Specials subset card titled 'Dual Heat' featuring pitchers Mark Davis of the San Diego Padres and Dwight Gooden of the New York Mets. The iconic 1987 Fleer design features a grey border with white stripes, a red team color bar, and the Fleer logo in the upper right. The back features player statistics and biographical information in Fleer's traditional yellow and blue layout.
Key Features
Features two of the prominent pitchers of the 1980s era, specifically Dwight Gooden during the peak of his Mets stardom. Part of the popular 1987 Fleer Super Star Specials subset.
Authenticity Indicators
High confidence. Card stock, printing dot patterns, and color saturation are consistent with genuine 1987 Fleer production. This card is not commonly counterfeited due to its low market value.
Flaws to Note
Slight corner softening visible on the top corners, typical edge wear associated with unpreserved vintage cards from the 1980s junk wax era.
