Description
The reverse side of a 1977 Topps Robert Brazile football card. Features biographical information, an Interception Record table for his first two seasons with the Houston Oilers, and a 'College Corner' blurb detailing his time at Jackson State. Characterized by 1970s tan cardstock and purple/black ink accents.
Key Features
Hall of Fame player (inducted 2018). Seven-time Pro Bowler and member of the NFL 1970s All-Decade Team. This is an early career card of 'Dr. Doom.'
Authenticity Indicators
Authentic 1977 Topps card. The porous, brown chipboard-style stock, specific pink/purple ink pigments, and '1977 Topps Chewing Gum, Inc.' copyright line are characteristic of the original production. Confidence: High.
Flaws to Note
Severe condition issues present: heavy ink/marker marking on the left side of the text block, significant surface wear and creasing at the top/bottom, possible trimming or rough tearing on the right edge, and heavily rounded corners. The ink mark constitutes a major surface defect.
Selling Guide
Where to Sell
eBay (as part of a lot), COMC, or local card shop bulk bins. Selling as a single item is difficult due to the condition.
Selling Tips
Do not grade this card. Given the permanent marker/ink on the back and the physical damage, the cost of grading ($20+) significantly outweighs the card's potential value (under $1). Best used as a 'filler' card for a budget-conscious set builder or as part of a Houston Oilers team lot.
