Description

This 1976 Topps card features the 'Father & Son - Big Leaguers' specialty theme. The left side showcases a black and white vintage-style portrait and action shot of Ray Boone with the Detroit Tigers, while the right side features a color portrait of Bob Boone in his Philadelphia Phillies catcher's gear. The card has a clean white border and classic 70s typography.

Key Features

Features two generations of the famous Boone baseball family. Ray Boone was a 2x All-Star; Bob Boone was a 4x All-Star and World Series Champion. Part of a popular multi-player subset in the 1976 set.

Authenticity Indicators

Authentic card stock for the era (grayish cardboard back); 1976 Topps specific typography and color saturation. Low risk of counterfeiting due to moderate market value. High confidence in authenticity.

Flaws to Note

The centering is shifted significantly to the left. The top edge shows some minor chipping/fiber wear. The bottom left corner appears slightly rounded. There is a small print speck visible in the red banner at the top.

Selling Guide

Where to Sell

eBay (as a Buy It Now), COMC for long-term listing, or local card show dollar bins.

Selling Tips

Due to the low raw value, it is not economically feasible to grade this card unless it appears to be a Gem Mint 10 (which this example is not). Best sold as part of a 1976 Topps lot or a Boone family player lot to maximize shipping efficiency.
